BUS TRANSPORTATION
PLEASE NOTE: BUSES ARE FOR PARTICIPANTS ONLY, NOT SPECTATORS, NO PETS ALLOWED. A shuttle van will be available after the race to take
runners back up to Georgetown.
BUS PICK-UP LOCATION:
Clear Creek Recreation Center: 98 12th Avenue, Idaho Springs, CO 80452
IMPORTANT: The last bus to take runners up to the start line leaves promptly at 8am.​
The first bus will pick-up at 5:45am. We have 5 buses that will leave every 15 minutes. They will pick up runners at the Rec Center, and head to the start line in Georgetown. The buses will continue to pick up runners until 8:00am. We suggest giving yourself at least an hour to park and get in the shuttle to go to Georgetown. No need to feel rushed or worried the morning of your race. A shuttle van will be available after the race to take people back up to Georgetown, as needed.
PARKING
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO PARKING IN GEORGETOWN.
THERE IS LIMITED PUBLIC PARKING IN IDAHO SPRINGS.
Carpooling is highly recommended.

There will be port-a-potties at the bus pick-up / start area / MM3 / MM6 / MM8 / MM10 / MM12 / Finish (16th and Idaho Mall) - Electrolytes at MM8

ALTITUDE & WEATHER
The elevation at the start is 8,500 feet, and gradually descends to 7,500 feet at the finish. Temperatures in the early morning at this elevation can be around 50° and can reach up to 90° at the finish. While conditions are usually optimal at this time of year, athletes should always be prepared for adverse weather because the race is run in
a mountainous location.
T-SHIRTS & MEDALS
Short sleeve T-shirts will be included with your registration, and may be picked up at early packet pick-up or at the finish line on race day at the race expo.
Finisher medals will be available to all participants at the finish line.
TIMING/SCORING INSTRUCTIONS
As a reminder, your bib is your entry into the event and other activities. You must wear it on your front, on the outermost layer of clothing that you will be participating in. Your bib is also your timing tag, the tag is on the back of your bib. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE IT. Also, please be careful not to fold, bend, or wrinkle your bib to prevent damage to the timing tag.
AWARDS
Our coveted race-themed awards will be presented to the following age groups: Top 3 Male, Female in ages 19/under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
The Top 3 finishers in the non-binary category (not age specific) will receive an award. Award ceremony starts at 11am. Unfortunately, we cannot ship awards.
