PRE - RACE START:
Time: 5:30am - 7:00am (please be sure to arrive no later than 7am)
Place: Clear Creek County School District Office, 320 CO-103, Idaho Springs, CO 80452
LIMITED TRANSPORTATION BACK TO GEORGETOWN WILL BE OFFERED.
ONE TRIP AT 10:30am, 11:30am & 12:30pm.
Place: Clear Creek School District Office, a short walk from the post race party.
**We recommend parking in Idaho Springs.**
Clear Creek School District Administration Building (320 CO-103, Idaho Springs, CO 80452) just south of exit 240 off I-70. In addition to the lot in front of this building, we will be parking cars on the old track adjacent to the building. Volunteers will direct you to this area. Please do not park in the Forest Service parking lot, vehicles parked here will be towed. Please be aware that metered parking has been implemented on Main Street, so please aim to park where volunteers direct you to avoid getting a ticket.

August 8: Race Start from 6am - 7:30am
All clothing and warm-up gear checked in with our staff in Georgetown will be transported from the start line to Clear Creek football field in Idaho Springs by 9:00am. Items left along the course or at the start that are NOT checked in with our staff, will be donated to charity. We encourage you to wear items that can be donated to charity. Bags will be provided at the start line, however we encourage you to bring your own bag it will make it easier to find it at the finish. All bags will be placed in the stands at the field. If you forget your bag please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reclaim it. We will donate all items not claimed after one week.
AID STATIONS & PORT-A-POTTIES
There are aid stations at mile markers: 3, 6, 8, 10 and 12 providing water and nuun hydration with cups.
Bus pick up in Idaho Springs, Georgetown Lake (start area), MM1, MM2, MM4, MM6, MM8, MM10, MM12 and Golddigger Stadium (post race party location)
ALTITUDE & WEATHER
The elevation at the start is 8,500 feet, and gradually descends to 7,500 feet at the finish. Temperatures in the early morning at this elevation can be around 50° and can reach up to 85° at the finish. While conditions are usually optimal at this time of year, athletes should always be prepared for adverse weather because the race is run in
a mountainous location.
TIMING TAG INSTRUCTIONS
This race will be timed using an electronic timing chip. You must wear the timing tag for the duration of the race to receive full race results. The timing chip is attached to your bib, so please do not fold your bib or place a magnet on your bib it will render the chip useless. There is a $10 replacement fee for all lost or damaged chips.
Once the race is over you may keep the bib and chip but do not stand next to the finish line because it will keep setting off the timing mat.
T-SHIRTS, MEDALS & GOODIE BAGS
Finisher short sleeve tech T-Shirts will be included with your registration, and may be picked up at early packet pick-up or at the finish line on race day at Clear Creek football field. T-shirt exchanges will be available after 11am on the football field. Goody bags and finisher medals will be available to all participants at the finish line.
Awards Ceremony takes place at 10:30am. Our coveted Gold Pan awards will be presented to the following age groups: Top 3 Male and Female in ages 19/under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74, and 75+.
