Run a PR at one of Colorado's oldest half marathons!
Part of the Colorado Mountain Half + Series, Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon is a Colorado Runner’s Must-Do. This iconic Half Marathon is one of the most pleasurable races in the western US. The point-to-point course is a scenic and gently rolling downhill mountain course that winds down the Clear Creek Valley -- starting at an elevation of 8,500ft. at Georgetown Lake and ending at an elevation of 7,500ft. in Idaho Springs, with one hill of a finish!
This event is hosted by the Clear Creek Booster Club, and it is planned by parent volunteers. Proceeds from the GTIS Half Marathon go directly to supporting middle school and high school students in Clear Creek County.

Start the series with the Estes Park Half Marathon on 6/18/23, then run a PR at our very own GTIS Half on 8/12/23, enjoy the "Switzerland of Colorado" and run the Mt. Sneffels Half Marathon on 8/19/23, experience Nederland at the Ned*Ned Half Marathon on 9/9/23 and finish the series with the Lead King Loop 25K (15.5 Miles) on 9/17/23 in breathtaking Marble, CO.
